Meditation is something I use almost daily to get me through the stress, frustration, annoyances & nagging thoughts of everyday life.
When I'm feeling anxious, negative or tense, it helps me re-direct my energy to a place of calm where I can see things from a different perspective.
It helps me better connect with my feelings to see where they're really stemming from, and disconnects me from the endless cycle of thoughts running through my head so I can see them for what they really are- mostly a buncha BS.
In essence, meditation creates SPACE. And it’s in that space, even if it’s a just a moment of calm and clarity, that change can begin to come in.
And the best part is, there’s nothing magical or mystical about it.
It’s one of the best-studied techniques for improving well-being and has been used for over 2500 years. It’s been proven by scientific research that meditation changes our relationship to our thoughts and emotions.
Our brain is hard-wired to change and adapt in response to experience- it’s a learning machine! So we can actually train our brain in specific ways to promote well-being, and transform our own sense of happiness!
It just takes practice.
You can practice being open, being awake, noticing all the incredible gifts and opportunities that can be found in each day.
You can practice getting out of your head and into your body, into the present moment.
You can practice letting go of negative thoughts.
You can practice shifting your perspective.
And you can do it all through the practice of meditation.
This free guided meditation below will help you get out of your head and into your body, into the present moment.
When we’re too worried about what’s coming up ahead or are fretting about a past that we cannot change, it’s so easy to quite literally miss what’s right in front of us.
We all too often forget to look up and just be HERE. In this moment. This breath. And totally content with that.
If you feel like you sometimes go “automatic” trying to just get through the day, rather than really experiencing the day, it's more important than ever to take a pause, to step back, to SLOW DOWN and re-connect back to yourself.
Meditation gives you the opportunity to connect back to yourself, to root back into your body-into your center- and that's where clarity, focus, action and FLOW lie- in the right here and NOW!
